Soccer Coaching Drills - Killer Tips On Passing Drills
It’s unbelievable how some coaches ignore passing drills during the soccer coaching drills. In soccer, passing the ball is the most vital thing to master because it’s the only skill that will help you become a match winner. In youth soccer drills, include a variety of sports and events in order to hone the player’s talent of passing the ball.
Coach them on primary skills: Start with the basics first. Break the team up into two and give a ball to each team. Guide them to pass and manage the ball within the team to practice.
This will give you a good idea of what the strengths and weaknesses of various players are. At the same time, it will also reflect the ability that each player has in passing the ball. You are then in a position to evaluate each player’s growth.
The Moving Circle: A number of games aid team members in learning effective passing. There is one soccer coaching drill where all players create a circle except for two people who stay inside it.
Two players inside the circle will then try and catch hold of the ball when it is thrown amongst those in circle. Once the ball is captured by either of the two players, he is replaced by any member creating the circle and so on. A great feature of these soccer practice drills is that they introduce an element of fun along with learning and practice.
