After the Wedding: Devoted communal employee Mikkelsen who runs an orphanage in rural India is conjured home to Copenhagen to meet a prosperous guy who might fund his ventures. He shows up just as the industrialist’s baby girl is getting wedded, and at the marriage ceremony makes a stunning uncovering. Bier who co-wrote this with Anders Thomas Jensen investigates her characters’ ethical problems in ultra close-up. Stem, extreme tirade with better behaviors. Cast includes Mads Mikkelsen, Rolf Lassgard, Sid Knudsen, Stine Fischer Christensen, and Mona Mal. (124 minutes, 2006)

Airplane: Extremely ludicrous spoof of Airport-type with a continuous amount of gags that keeps up almost to the end. Our top choice: the bizarre plight of Lt. Hurwitz. Stay tuned through the very last credits. Cast includes Robert Hays, Julie Hagerty, Robert Pile, Lloyd Bridges, Peter Graves, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Leslie Nielsen, Loma Patterson, and Stephen Stucker. Jacob the Liar: This is a joke story of Jew Brodsky, whose inaccurate stories to associate ghetto dwellers give some hope contrary to their Nazi captors. Cast includes Vlastimil Brodsky, Erwin Geschonneck, Manuela Simon, Henry Hubchen, Blanche Kommerell, and Armin Mueller-Stahl. (95 minutes, 1974)

The Awesome O’Malley: Sappy film of ruthless cop O’Brien and meager guy Bogart who has lame baby girl and turns to offense to aid her. This is a pretty tacky film. Rentadick: Out of the nether-land between The Goon Show and Monty Python comes this romp written by Python buddies John Cleese and Graham Chapman, spoofing recipe secluded-eye flips. An experimental nerve fuel that paralyzes from the waist down has been stolen and Rentadick, Inc. is employed to track down the perpetrators. Cast includes Jim Clark, James Booth, Julie Ege, Ronald Fraser, Donald Sinden, Michael Bentine, Richard Briers, and Spike Milligan. (94 minutes, 1972)
